   Since January 1993, when he opened his own law firm, he has furnished skilled legal representation and counseling to selected clients throughout California and the United States from offices in Stockton and San Francisco, California. The firm expanded to the Central Coast of California in 2004 with an office in Aptos, Santa Cruz County. In January 2007, Peter became managing partner in the newly formed firm of Rummonds, Rausch, Schlaff & Mair, LLP, which focuses on Professional Liability Law.

   Peter's experience as a complex business and commercial disputes litigator, coupled with his handling of a variety of business transactions, has cultivated a unique perspective on business and law from which he successfully delivers highly customized corporate and business counsel throughout all phases of client's business development and operations. Clients benefit from an experienced focus on the global and strategic management of their legal affairs which both anticipates and advances client interests in dispute avoidance when possible and permits effective and successful dispute resolution when necessary.

   Peter is skilled at counseling executive leadership and creating business and transactional strategies resistant to litigious interference. At the same time, Peter has numerous proven results in aggressively prosecuting and successfully defending client interests when litigation is the only alternative.

   Trained as a small claims court judge pro tem with the San Joaquin County Superior Court, Peter periodically presides over the Court's small claims calendar since 1998. He also serves on the San Joaquin County Superior Court Judicial Arbitration Panel and has been retained privately by parties to conduct mediations and binding arbitration of civil disputes. In the fall of 2005, after completing formal mediation training, Peter began offering private mediation services.
